7 Days uganda wildlife safari
Day 1: Arrive in Entebbe international airport
On arrival at Entebbe international airport, our company guide will receive you and you will exchange words of greeting after he will transfer you to the Hotel. The guide will explains to you more information about Uganda as you’re driving to the hotel and he will brief you on your next day program as per itinerary. Upon arrival at the hotel refresh yourself and wait for dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Drive to Kibale Forest National Park
Pick up from the hotel after morning breakfast for transfer to Kibale forest national park a home to primates. The journey takes approximately 4-5 hour’s drive passing through rolling hills, evergreen savannah and tea plantation. Arrive at lunch time and check-in, have lunch and after lunch you will go for nature walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary. The nature walk will reward you with primate’s encounter including different monkey species and various bird species including the fabulous blue turacco among others. After nature walk return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
At 7:00 am leave the lodge after taking African cup of coffee and report to the park’s headquarters for briefing. You should carry packed sack and enough drinking water. You will be given trekking group of 6 people with well-armed-game ranger. Enter the forest and expect to encounter other primates like Monkeys, flora and fauna. Spend one hour with the chimpanzee after finding them and return to the lodge get your packed lunch and check-out of the lodge for transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park. On arrival to Queen Elizabeth national park have an evening en-route game drive and expect to encounter school of elephants, giraffes, lions, warthogs and plenty of bird species. Drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Game drive and afternoon boat cruise
Your Adventure in Queen Elizabeth national park continues today with game drive to kasenyi trail in search for lions, antelope species and herds of buffaloes, school of elephants, warthogs, leopards, giraffes, kobs, spotted hyenas, water-buck and zebras to mention the few. Return to for lunch break and relax bit and after head for 2:00 pm boat cruise along the Kazinga channel between lakes George and Edward where you will be rewarded with beautiful view of bird species and water animals that include crocodiles, hippos and buffaloes to list the few. The higher concentration of wildlife along this channel is overwhelming. Drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Enjoy your morning breakfast and check-out of the lodge for transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Drive through Ishasha sector with high chances of viewing the tree climbing lions. Proceed with drive to Bwindi national park through the beautiful hills and breathtaking scenery. Arriving at the lodge, check-in and relax a bit as your waiting for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Gorilla trekking and Batwa experience
Here comes long waited day, where you will have the once lifetime opportunity to visit the remaining endangered mountain gorillas in their natural habitat of shady bamboo and lush green tropical rainforest along with other wildlife and bird species. Bwindi impenetrable national park is a home to half of the remaining endangered mountain gorillas in the world which are about 880 gorilla’s population. You will get gorilla trekking group of 8 people and the trek takes half an hour to 8 hour’s depending on the movement of the gorillas. Expect to encounter other wildlife in Bwindi because the forest is home to over 120 other species of mammals, 200 species of buffer flies, and 150 species of trees and 400 species of birds. You will spend only one hour with the mountain gorillas after finding them. Return to the lodge for lunch and after lunch go for Batwa experience. Dinner and overnight stay at the pervious lodge.
Day 7: Departure to Kampala
Have morning breakfast and depart for Kampala, you will have lunch en route at Igongo Cultural Center with chances to explore the region’s culture. Proceed to Equator for photo shot and refreshment and drive to Kampala with drop off at the Hotel or Entebbe international airport to catch up with your schedule flight back home.
