This 10 days Uganda safari takes you to Uganda’s major national parks. You will visit Murchison falls National Park the largest national park in Uganda with plenty of wildlife and you will hike the top of the falls which is one of the famous attraction in Murchison. You will then proceed to Kibale forest national park a home to the chimpanzees and it habituated the largest population of the chimpanzees in the Africa. You will have an opportunity to visit Queen Elizabeth national park where you will do game drive and boat cruise at the Kazinga channel and then drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park a home to the remaining endangered mountain gorillas in the world. You will finally end your safari with a visit to Lake Bunyonyi which is the second deepest lake in Africa with over 29 islands surrounding it.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up from Entebbe international airport

Our company guide will pick you up from Entebbe international airport; he will introduce himself to you and transfer you to the Hotel where you will spend an overnight stay.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison falls national park

After morning breakfast, our guide will collect you from the hotel for transfer to Murchison falls with beautiful view of local people doing local activities along the road side. The journey takes 5-6 hours’ drive with stopover at Luwero district where you will purchase fruits and then proceed to Masindi town for lunch at any local restaurant. Continue with the journey and you will be welcomed by many baboons lining up along the road waiting for gifts from people like sweet banana. Upon arrival at the park, check-in at the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Game drive, Boat cruise and viewing the top of the falls

Have early morning coffee, and then the guide will pick you up for game drive at northern sector of Murchison falls where you encounter different wildlife like lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, warthogs, leopards and plenty of bird species among others. Return to the lodge for lunch and after lunch head for boat cruise in the Victoria Nile and you will encounter again different wildlife’s like hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffalos and plenty of bird species and after go for top of the falls viewing/hiking, see how water sequences itself out of the tiny rocks forming permanent rainbows. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale forest national park

After morning breakfast, the guide will pick you for transfer to Kibale Forest national park with short game drive as your proceeding to ferry crossing point. Head to Kibale forest national park with stopover at Fortal-Port where you will have your lunch. After lunch visit craters lakes and then proceed to the park to check-in at the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi wetland sanctuary visit

Wake up early and have morning breakfast, pack enough drinking water and some sacks and then head to the park’s headquarters for briefing on do’s and don’ts of chimpanzee trekking. You will be divided into groups with UWA game ranger who will lead the group into the forest in search of our closed relatives with whom we share 98% DNA test. Expect to encounter other wildlife like monkeys and plenty of bird species. After finding the chimpanzees, you will be given time to takes photos and viewing the them. Return to the lodge for lunch and after lunch you will head for Bigodi wetland visit where you will encounter plenty of bird species. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park and Boat cruise

Our company driver/guide will collect you from the lodge after your morning breakfast for transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park. You will arrival at time for lunch and you will check-in at the lodge. Have your lunch and then proceed for afternoon boat cruise at Kazinga channel and expect to encounter hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes and plenty of bird species. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Game drive and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Wake up early and go for very early morning game drive so as to catch up with early risers and to meet night hunter going to rest. You will encounter lions, elephants, giraffes, leopards, buffaloes, hippos, warthogs and plenty of bird species. Return to the lodge for lunch and after lunch you will be transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park a home to half of endangered mountain gorillas. You might have chance of seeing tree climbing lions on your to Bwindi, rolling hills, ever green vegetation and long horn ankole cattle grazing along the way. Upon arrival you will check-in at the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Gorilla trekking and community walks

Wake up at 6:30am and have breakfast, 7:00 am, our guide will drive you to park’s headquarters for briefing on do’s and don’ts of mountain gorilla trekking. Remember to carry pack lunch/sacks and enough drinking water because the trek takes an hour to 8 hours depending of on the movement of the endangered mountain gorilla. You will be allowed only one hour with the gorillas and after return to the lodge for lunch.

After lunch, head for community walk to the homes of reformed poachers the Batwe people who leaved in the forest for years. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9: Lake Bunyonyi

After breakfast, our guide will transfer you to Lake Bunyonyi the second deepest lake in Africa and also well known as African Switzerland. You will spend you entire day from Lake Bunyonyi cool-off yourself from long trip with beautiful view of the 29 islands in the found in lake Bunyonyi and view of rolling hills in the area.

Day 10: Departure

After breakfast, you will set-off for Kampala with lunch stopover at Mbarara town and then another stopover at Uganda Equator for some memorable photos. Upon arrival in Kampala our guide will either drop you to the hotel or to Entebbe international airport to catch-up with flight back home.
