7 DAYS UGANDA SAFARI

This 7 days safari takes you to three national parks in Uganda. Kibale forest national park well known for chimpanzee tracking, Queen Elizabeth national park for game viewing and then Bwindi Impenetrable national park well known for mountain gorillas trekking and it’s a home to half of the engendered mountain gorillas in the whole world.

Brief itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Kibale forest national park

Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking and Bigido wetland sanctuary

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park and afternoon game drive

Day 4: Game drive and boat cruise

Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park

Day 6: Gorilla trekking and community walks

Day 1: Transfer to Kibale forest national park

Have early morning breakfast and guide will pick you for transfer to Kibale forest national park, a home to chimpanzees.  Kibale forest national park has got 13 primates species which includes chimpanzees and monkeys like red colobus monkeys, L’Hoest’s monkeys among others.

Upon arrival at Kibale forest national you will visit scenic crater lakes region and you will have chance of viewing terraced tea states. Proceed to the lodge where you will check-in, have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 1: Chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi wetland sanctuary

Start a day with morning breakfast, head to the park’s headquarters for briefing on the dos and don’ts of chimpanzee tracking. The trek starts at 8:00am, group is been led by game ranger to view our closed relative whom we share 98% DNA with human being. You will have a chance to see other wildlife a part from Chimpanzee.  After finding the chimpanzee, you will spend some time with them then after you will return back to the lodge for lunch.

Later in the afternoon, you will visit the Bigodi wetland sanctuary where you will view primates and a lot of bird species. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park and game drive

Have your early morning breakfast, check-out of the lodge for transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park. The drive takes only 3 hours and you will pass via Portal town, proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park arriving at time for lunch. Check-in at the lodge and have lunch, have rest for some few minutes and head for game drive around the park.

After game drive, you will return back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Game viewing and Kazinga channel boat cruise

Have cup of coffee early in morning and proceed to the park for morning game viewing so as to catch up with early morning risers at Kasenyi track. You will have chance to view a plenty of animals that includes, lions, buffalos, elephants, antelopes, Uganda kobs, warthogs and many others.

Return to the lodge for lunch and after lunch head for boat cruise at the Kazinga channel were your eyes will be fed with variety of animals and bird species. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Our company guide will transfer you to Bwindi Impenetrable National park after your morning breakfast, drive through the great savannah vegetation via Ishasha sector well known for its tree climbing lion, if you are lucky enough, you will have a chance to sight tree climbing lions.

Upon arrival at the park, you will check-in at the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Gorilla trekking and Community walks

Welcome new day with morning coffee, collect you trekking equipment’s, carry pack water and some pack sacks, proceed to the park headquarters for briefing on dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking. You will enter the rainforest in search of endangered mountain gorilla in accompany of Uganda wildlife authority trained game ranger. The trek takes an hour to 8 hour’s depend on the speed of the slowest person in the group. You will be allowed only one hour with the gorillas after allocating them, take photos, see how the silver-back protects its family and ask questions from the game ranger. Return to the lodge for lunch and in the afternoon, you will go for community walks in the homes of reformed poachers the Batwa people to see cultural dances, cultural wedding and their way of life after leaving the forest. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 7: Departure

Morning breakfast and set off for the journey back to Kampala with stopover at Mbarara town for lunch proceed to Uganda equator for some photo shot. The driver will drop you either at the hotel or international airport for your flight back home.
